The woods…the wild things and the magic that flows through everything.

  • Dark enchantment from the overactive imagination of Jesse Dickson

It all began Once upon a time…

…in the woods, in a den, with a wolf, a fire and a wild, untamed imagination.

Creativity is air to me. It’s how I breathe.

Without the ability to create, I am simply a ghost. A silent, haunted wisp of breath …voiceless and emotionless.

My imagination is how I process the world around me, how I communicate to others and how I see life.

We are all connected. We are all just energy, from the animals to the trees, the lichen to the microscopic insects intensely making their way through the tiny space they believe is the universe.

If telling a story takes energy, then surely, the moment that story is spoken, the energy released, its characters exist and are as real as you and me?

When I’m not working with silver at A Wolf and I, I love to draw with pen and ink, pastel and sometimes acrylic.

Born in the south of England in 1973, I lived a wild and free childhood amongst the ancient trees of the New Forest and the mermaid strewn beaches of the Dorset Coast. I studied Art and Design at Bournemouth & Poole college of art and gained a degree in History of Art at Winchester Art School. I then when on to pursue her passion for metalwork studying precious Jewellery and Silversmithing at The Sir John Cass at London Guildhall University. On graduation she began work as an independent jewellery designer maker. After a dramatic collision of universes, she met her husband Al and they have been working together as professional jewellers as A Wolf and I ever since.

After travelling the world I now live back in Dorset with my husband Al and our three cats Millie, Lilith and Betty.
